ABOUT THE
NORTH BAY OPERA THEATRE ENSEMBLE

The North Bay Opera Theatre Ensemble (NBOTE) was formed in June
2003 by North Bay Opera’s Board of Directors. Under the direction of Sam Schieber, NBOTE is a year-round performing choir that presents a summer and
holiday season concert series and provides choristers for NBO's annual spring
opera.
NBOTE offers a distinctly different repertoire, focusing
specifically on all types of theatre music from opera, operetta, and musical
theatre. In addition, NBOTE seeks to present neglected repertoire, and strives
to present all musical selections in their original theatrical vocal
arrangements.
The opportunity to sing an exciting mixed repertoire has brought
together singers from Fairfield,
Vacaville, Vallejo,
Benicia, and the greater
Sacramento region, Napa Valley and
San Francisco Bay Area. NBOTE's member’s resumes include North Bay Opera chorus,
the Solano and Vallejo Choral Societies, Solano College Actor Training Program,
the Saturday and Wednesday Clubs, and many other local and regional choral and
theater groups. The 60-voice chorus spans several generations and includes five
families with multiple members.
